Nicklas J. Denny, 32, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at his home. Memorial services at 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his parents, Thomas and Eva Denny of Marion; his sister, Renae (Matthew) Campbell of Scottsdale, Ariz.; grandfather, Alden Wiley of Waukon; grandmother, Lois Denny of Appleton, Wis.; four uncles, Jerry (Bonita) Wiley of Bondurant, Dave Wiley of Lansing and Dave (Joan) Denny and John Denny, all of Appleton; a nephew, MaCallister; and niece, Finley Campbell.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Donna Wiley; grandfather, Clarence Denny; and an uncle, John Wiley.
Nick was born Dec. 9, 1984, in Mason City. He graduated from Linn-Mar High School and later attended Kirkwood Community College. He most recently worked at Nelson Manufacturing.
Nick enjoyed skateboarding, riding his bike, playing video games and playing his guitar. He had a great sense of humor, loved animals, liked hanging out with his friends and was proud of the fact that he was a member of the Oneida Indian Nation.
Nick was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew and uncle whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. He had a kind spirit, gentle nature, was thoughtful, generous and had a quiet charm.
