William E. “Bill” Nickerson, 82, of Oelwein, died Friday evening, June 1, 2012, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oelwein, with the Rev. Harry Koelker officiating. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, with a parish Scripture service at 6:30 p.m. Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, with military graveside services by Oelwein American Legion Ross Reid Post 9.
