Nicholas S. Cox, 44, of Cedar Rapids, passed away August 22, 2024. Visitation 1-2 PM, Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Memorial Service: 2 PM, Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Nicholas was born on June 12, 1980, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of William and Tana (Lasho) Cox. He was united in marriage to Michelle Werneburg on October 29, 2004, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nicholas had worked at General Mills in Cedar Rapids for the last three years. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Nicholas liked being outside along with grilling and using his smoker. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 20 years, Michelle of Cedar Rapids; sons Caleb, Connor, and Braden Cox all of Cedar Rapids; father William Cox; brother Bruce Cox; mother-in-law, Alice Werneburg of Cedar Rapids; and brother-in-law, Nate (Brooke) Werneburg of Minnesota.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Tana Cox and father-in-law, Dennis Werneburg.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Most of all his family will miss his hugs and laugh.
