Nicholas Paul Hursh,
56, of Parkersburg, died Friday, July 3, 2015, as a result of a highway collision.
He was born Oct. 29, 1958, in Marengo, Iowa, the son of Paul Eugene and Dorothy (Roberts) Hursh. Nicholas married Cheryl Combs. He worked as a machinist for Bruns Machine Inc. in Cedar Falls. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and a member of Sons of Silence for 30 years. He was also a member of Carpenters Union Local 678.
Nicholas is survived by three daughters, Jess (Luke) Golke of Romeoville, Ill., Melissa (Jerry) Weekly of Parkersburg and Chris Brant of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren, Wyatt and Winchester Golke and Amanda, Jessica, Jamie, Joe and Justin Weekly; a brother, Dan Hursh of Morgantown, W.Va.; a sister, Lori Hursh Rathje of Ely; many nieces and nephews; and wide circle of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Celebration of Life: 2 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, Waterloo, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel.
