Nibeck, Barbara Ann
Barbara Ann Nibeck of Marion, Iowa, passed away Sunday evening, Jan. 23, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center after a long illness. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at Gospel Light Baptist Church, 305 Second Ave., Marion.
Survivors include two sons, Robert and Jerry, both of Marion; two daughters, Janet Boot of Albert Lea, Minn., and Dawn Edmonds of Marion; two brothers, Kenneth Campbell of Marion, and Ronald Campbell of Dysart; and two sisters, Iona Hrdlicka and Connie Lochner of Marion.
Also surviving is her grandson, Johnathan Nibeck of Marion; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert John; a brother, Vernon Baker; and a sister, Sandra Longerbeam.
Born the daughter of Melvin and Lauretta Baker Campbell on March 21, 1937 in Cedar Rapids, she married Robert John Nibeck on Dec. 31, 1955 in Marengo. He passed away March 4, 1993.
Barbara worked for a short time at Collins Radio and was a cook and the Country Cafe. She also like sewing and doing crafts.
Barbara will be missed by all who knew her.
