Neville, Mary Margaret
Mary Margaret Neville, 95, of Anamosa, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Silvercrest of Anamosa. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Anamosa. Father Wayne Droessler will officiate. Friends may call from 4 to7 p.m. Thursday at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. A Scripture service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and a rosary service, provided by the Knights of Columbus, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Internment will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Anamosa.

Surviving are her children, Nancy (Jeff) Yeakel of Marion, Bonnie Neville Singh (Kawal) of Iowa City, Peggy (Robert) Platner of Marion, Michael (Michele) Neville of Anamosa, and Patricia Neville of Union City, N.J.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Jean Neville of Anamosa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maurice in 1996; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Mary Margaret Orr was born Nov. 7, 1915, in Cascade, Iowa. She was the daughter of John and Jane McQuillen Orr. She received her education at St. Martin's Catholic School in Cascade, graduating with the class of 1932. Mary was class president, star basketball player and captain of her team. On June 26, 1939, Mary and Maurice were united in marriage at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade. Mary was a devoted homemaker, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
We will miss her dearly, especially her loving Irish spirit, wit and humor.
