Neva Pauline Norris was born July 5, 1933, near Conroy, Iowa, the daughter of Rudolph and Katharina (Teggatz) Huedepohl. Neva passed away Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at Lantern Park in Coralville at the age of 84 years.
She graduated from Hilton Consolidated High School in Conroy. Neva was united in marriage to Robert Edward Norris on March 20, 1976, in Marengo. She had resided in Conroy, Middle Amana and Williamsburg. She worked for 22 years at the Ox Yoke Inn in Amana. Neva enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Williamsburg.
She is survived by son-in-law, Dennis Bair of Coralville.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband; daughter, Denise Hook; four grandchildren, James, Amanda, Candyce and Jennifer Hook; brothers, Eldon, Victor and Harvey Huedepohl; and two sisters, Dorthea Huedepohl and Marlene Stevens.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Williamsburg. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for Lantern Park in Coralville.
