Neva M. Haman, 97, lifetime resident of the Iowa City area, died Friday, May 24, 2019, at the Oaknoll Retirement Residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Iowa City with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to support causes that were near and dear to Neva.

Her family includes her children, Sharon Koch (Doug), Nancy Gurney (Lloyd), Gary Haman, Dave Haman (Sandi), Steve Haman (Diana) and Robert Haman (Denise); 15 grandchildren, Jeff Koch (Sandy), Jim Koch (Janette), Chris Malik (Robert), Theresa Gromko (Eric), Lee Gurney (Jen), Laurie Boland (Doug), Nicki Haman, Michelle Cook (Gabe), Lisa Milder (Steve), Trenton Haman, Tiffany Sabin (Jonah), Trisha Clinton (Vince), Matthew Haman (Tiffany), Tammy Marek (Cody) and Joshua Greenblatt; 36 great-grandchildren; and Neva's sister-in-law, Marty Figg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; daughter-in-law, Patricia Haman; grandson, Bradley Haman; great-grandson, Blake Haman; sisters and their spouses, Doris Bartlett (Merle) and Nora Dobbe (Don); and brothers, Walter "Bud" Figg and Kenneth Figg.
