Neuenkirk, Diana Carol

Diana Carol Neuenkirk, 55, passed away at home in rural Shellsburg early Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Care and cremation services provided by Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home, Vinton. Memorial services to be held at a later date.

Diana was born May 24, 1956, the daughter of Leonard and Jacqueline (Petersen) Draper. She grew up in Shellsburg until 1970 when the family moved to Vinton. Diana was united in marriage to Earl Neuenkirk on Jan. 15, 1977, at Four Square Church in Vinton.

She was preceded in death by her father; mother; stepfather, George Robinson; mother- and father-in-law, Virgil and Dorothy Neuenkirk; her grandparents; and her dog, Baby.

Diana is survived by her husband, Earl; three sons, Tommy Zeien and Jamie and Joey Neuenkirk; one daughter, Tracy Marie Draper, who was adopted by a family unknown to Diana and remained in her heart forever; five siblings, Walter, Mike, Karen, Mickey and Linda; 16 grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Theresa, Dorothy and Gloria; and one brother-in-law, Albert.
