Leighton Burnell Nelson, 86, of rural Elkader, died Friday, June 18, 2010, at the Elkader Care Center. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, at Peace United Church of Christ, Elkader, with Pastor Andrea Mericle officiating. Burial: East Side Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Leonard Funeral Home in Elkader and 9:30 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the church.
