Nekola, Ervern James
Ervern James Nekola, 71, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha following a short illness. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine, with the Rev. Norm Bennett presiding. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Vining, with military rites. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, KaLyn; daughter, Deb (David) Tisue, and son, Dan (Caroline) Nekola, both of Elberon; brothers, Robert (Mary Jane) Nekola of Gilman and Fred (Edith) Nekola of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy or American Legion Post 226 of Elberon.
