Neis, Richard 'Dick' Joseph
Richard “Dick” Joseph Neis, 69, of Strawberry Point, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home from a short illness. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Strawberry Point, with Father Paul Peters officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church. A Scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Strawberry Point Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Teddie; two daughters, Julie Kintzle (Bruce Thomas) of Earlville and Kathy (Roger) Shaw of Strawberry Point; one son, Eric Neis of San Francisco, Calif.; three granddaughters, Sara Kintzle, Melanie Kintzle and Megan (Jacob) Connolly; two grandsons, Jacob Shaw and Jordan Kintzle; one great-granddaughter, Alaina Connolly; and one sister, Rose (John) Kramer of Grundy Center.
