Nederhoff, Wayne Thomas
Wayne Thomas Nederhoff, 55, of Shellsburg, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Grace Trinity Church, 301 Grove St. NW, Shellsburg. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.
Wayne was born July 19, 1954, in Grundy Center, the son of Arthur L. and Beverly J. (Bantz) Nederhoff. He was a 1972 graduate of Grundy Center High School and went to the University of Iowa for electrical engineering for two years. Wayne married Joy-Anne Kane on May 26, 1979. He enjoyed working on cars, playing his guitar, and fishing.
He will be missed by his family and friends.
Wayne is survived by his five sons, Anthony (Anne) of Fairfax and Andrew, Tyler, Michael and Cody of Shellsburg; three grandchildren, Akiva, Austin and Aedric; two brothers, Steve (Patricia) Nederhoff and Ray (Grace) Nederhoff; and one sister, Susan (Tom) Schaeffer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Beverly Nederhoff, and his wife, Joy-Anne Nederhoff.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the University of Iowa and Iowa Hospice.
