Ned W. Pippert, 90, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton.
Funeral services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at First Baptist Church in Vinton. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton, and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Interment: Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton, with an honor guard provided by the Vinton Police Department.
Ned is survived by his wife, Shirley Pippert, of Vinton; two sons, Kent (Janet) Pippert of Lenexa, Kan., and Kevin (Kim) Pippert of Vinton; two daughters, Kathy (Dean) Luze and Karen (Tim) Bahr, both of Vinton; brothers, Dale Pippert of Vinton and David (Holly) Roseberg of Columbia, Mo.; sisters, Carole Ann Salger of Vinton and Rosemary (Dennis) Billings of Buena Vista, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Edward, Carl and Fred Pippert.
A memorial fund has been established.
