Ned L. Allen, 82, lifelong Tiffin area farmer, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at Mercy Iowa City of pancreatic cancer.
Friends can gather with family from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at Gay & Ciha Funeral Home in Iowa City. He asked for a private family burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tiffin, which will take place later.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tiffin Fire and First Responders in his memory.

Ned Lee Allen was born May 3, 1933, in the family home, which has been his home for nearly all of his 82 years. He was the son of Clarence and Georgia Ethel (Russell) Allen. Ned grad-uated from Tiffin High School in 1951, then attended the University of Iowa.
In addition to farming, for over 30 years, he also was a school bus driver for Clear Creek Amana Schools.
Ned and his wife, Ann, celebrated with their children 60 years marriage on Aug. 21 of this year.
His family includes his wife, Ann; their children, Greg Allen (Linda) of Tiffin, Tracy Jackson (Fritz) of Alto, Mich., Joy Tinnes (Greg) of Iowa City and Jay Allen (Jackie) of Tiffin; grandchildren, Mallory, Lindsay (Stu), Sky, Nathan, Jackson and Logan; and one great-granddaughter, Emma.
Ned was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mark; and his brother, Carroll Allen.
