Naystatt, Mildred 'Jean'
Mildred “Jean” Naystatt, 96, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Surprise, Ariz., died Friday, July 29, 2011, in her home following a short illness. No services are planned. She has donated her body to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Survivors include her children, James and Dawn Riedel, and special friends, Richard and Suzanne Lentner, all of Cedar Rapids, and her companion, Pepe. Also surviving is a grandson, Jared Anson of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Mildred Jean Johnson was born Sept. 18, 1914, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Walter and Anna (Ladinski) Johnson. She was a registered nurse for many years until retiring at the age of 56.
