Nauman, Kenneth J. 'Dutch'
Kenneth J. “Dutch” Nauman, 76, of 213 First St. SE, Epworth, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at 12:30 a.m., at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade. Friends and relatives of Kenneth may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 15, at the Reiff Funeral Home, Epworth, where a wake service will be held at 4 p.m. Services for Ken will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Epworth, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Epworth, with full military honors afforded by the Epworth John White American Legion Post #650.
He is survived by his wife, MaDonna Nauman of Epworth; 13 children, Rhonda Nauman of Epworth, Roxanne (Per) Andersson of Racine, Wis., Rachelle (Jean) Dragon of Muscatine, Rick (Trisha) Nauman of Durango, Robert “Bob” (Kim) Nauman of Iowa City, Joel (Lisa) Nauman of Bettendorf, Renee (Ted) Schuster of Hopkinton, Tim Nauman of Cascade, Todd (Petrina) Nauman of Iowa City, Shawn Nauman of Ankeny, April Nauman (and special friend, Tom Frazer) of Chicago, Casey Nauman of Cedar Rapids, and Chase Nauman of Iowa City; 19 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild; six siblings, Irvin (Mary) Nauman, Gerald (Phyllis) Naumann, Alfred “Whitey” (Mary) Nauman, all of Dubuque, Darlene Hoerner of St. Louis, Mo., Harlan (Rosanne) Nauman of East Dubuque, Ill., and Donald (Helen) Nauman of Centralia; and one sister-in-law, Peggy Nauman of Dubuque.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Vern “Curly” Nauman and Ronald Nauman; a brother-in-law, Joe Hoerner; and a sister-in-law, Darlene Nauman.
A Kenneth J. Nauman memorial fund has been established, in lieu of flowers.
