NATHAN "NATE" LANKOW

Nathan "Nate" Lankow, 46, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at his home in Blairstown.
Nate was born on Aug. 9, 1974, in Newhall, Iowa, to Henry and Bonnie (Martinson) Lankow. He graduated from Benton Community High School in 1993. He was united in marriage
to Amy Burch at Lake McBride in Solon, Iowa, in 2008.
Nate was a loving husband and father, and a very caring friend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading. Nate cherished spending time with his family camping, hiking and cruising in their 1970 Monte Carlo. He and August loved working on wood working projects together. Nate enjoyed their annual fishing trip to Minnesota.
Nate was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Newhall. He was also the president of the Newhall Library Board for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Amy, and son, August, still at home, of Blairstown; mother, Bonnie Lankow of Vinton; sister, Wendy Lankow of Hutchison, Kan.;
father-in-law, Lee (Eloise) Burch; mother-in-law, Susan Burch; sister-in-law, Elaine (Mark) Gross; brother-in-law, Brian (Jeniffer) Burch; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews; and his lifelong friends, Mark Kotouc and Kevin Hart.
Nate was preceded in death by his father, Henry Lankow; and his grandparents.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. June 30, at the Phillips Funeral Home in Blairstown. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday July 1, at Central Presbyterian Church in Newhall, with Pastor Chip Rife officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like tree donations directed towards them.
There will be a luncheon immediately following the service in the Central Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.
