NANCY NIETFELDT

Nancy Nietfeldt, age 74, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021. at Wheatland Manor. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden on Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Daniel Redhage officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation also will be held at the church on Sunday, Aug. 15, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Nancy was born June 19, 1947, in Davenport, Iowa, to Junior and Louise Danielsen Homrighausen. She married Daniel Nietfeldt on March 4, 1967, in Burlington, Wis. He passed away on Nov. 26, 2020.
She is survived by her son, Philip (Holly) of Wilton; daughter, Elizabeth (Chad) Wright of Corinth, Texas; stepson, Pete (Kathy) Rytman of Mt. Pleasant, Wis.; grandchildren, Joshua Dornelas, Sara Rothan, Maddison Nietfeldt and Jacob Nietfeldt; stepgranddaughter, Amanda Rytman; one great-granddaughter; two stepgreat-grandchildren; sister, Neva (Jerome) Niedorf of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister-in-law, Gloria Jensen of Burlington, Wis.; brothers-in-law, Robert Nietfeldt of Burlington, Wis., and William Nietfeldt of Elkhorn, Wis.; and also many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Faith; and sister, Peggy Schlueter.
Nancy loved everything nature, which included yardwork and just being outdoors. She attended Patricia Stevens finishing school in Milwaukee, Wis., where she also met her future husband. She was a devout Christian and was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and also was a member of the Lowden Garden Club. Nancy was beautiful inside and out and was a friend to anybody she met, and would light up a room when she entered. She was proud of growing up and working on the farm on "7 Hills Road" and embraced all it had offered.
