Nancy Ann Nemmers, 48, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Jude Catholic Church by the Rev. Mark Reasoner. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery. A vigil service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Teahen Funeral Home, where friends may visit with the family Thursday after the vigil service until 8 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
Survivors include her mother, Mary C. Kraus; husband, Terry; son, Noah A. Nemmers; stepson, Tyler G. Nemmers, all of Cedar Rapids; and stepdaughter, Alexandra C. Nemmers of Colorado Springs, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Nancy Ann was born March 24, 1968, in Evanston, Ill., the daughter of Mary Kraus. She graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids in 1986. Nancy married Terry G. Nemmers on June 18, 2005, in Cedar Rapids. Nancy was an assistant manager for Collins Community Credit Union for 27 years.
Nancy's number one pride and joy was her son Noah. She loved gardening and the University of Iowa basketball and footballs games. She was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
