Nancy Lee Soden, 74, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, (previously of Marietta, Ga.), passed away peacefully at The Views of Marion, on Feb. 13, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Grace Baptist Church, 1461 East Post Rd., Marion, Iowa, on Friday, March 4. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Light refreshments will follow. The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
Nancy was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Jan. 3, 1948. Nancy's passions included entertaining friends and family, traveling, reading, shopping, crocheting, playing and singing music, playing cards, and being active in both the First Baptist Church in Marion and Macland Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Ga.
Nancy is survived by her brother, David L. Soden (Sue) of Marion; a sister, Susan (Jeff) Evans of Washington; a nephew, Jesse (Tami) Soden of Marion; two great-nieces, McKenzie Soden (Trask White) of Palo and Maddison Ebeling (Michael) of Mitchellville; a
great-nephew, Mason Soden of Marion; a great-great-niece, Halstyn; and a great-great-nephew, Wyatt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold L. and Dora L. Soden of Marion; and by her sister in-law, Sue Soden of Marion.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that you make a donation to a mission-oriented thrift store of your choice or other charity of your choice.
