Nancy (Albaugh) McAtee, 76, of Marion, passed away at the St. Luke's Hemphill Hospice Unit on July 22, 2021, following a lengthy illness. As per her wishes, she was cremated. Arrangements by Iowa Cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, at the Thomas Park Safe Room, 343 Marion Blvd., Marion, Iowa. Nancy Lynn Albaugh was born July 13, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, to Willard and Lucille (Cook) Albaugh of Mechanicsville. She attended K-8 grades at Mechanicsville Consolidated School. Her family moved to Marion, in 1959. Nancy attended Linn-Mar High School, graduating with the Class of 1963.

She spent her life as a homemaker and a caring mother to her children. Her family was her pride and joy and she enjoyed her time with each and every one of them, including her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. While raising her family, she spent many years working at Collins Radio and, most recently, at Connectronics. She also enjoyed working in her flower gardens. She had a special place in her heart for dogs and horses.

Nancy's attitude and determination were instrumental in dealing and coping with all of her medical issues. No matter what, she always gave it her all.

Survivors include her children, Loni (Tim) Garthwaite, Corey "Jake" McAtee and Jodi Bruns; grandchildren, Curtis and Hunter Reifschneider; Kassidy McAtee; Chase, Taylor, Logan, Riley and Mya Bruns; great-grandchildren, Brayleigh, Huxley and Elliott; Siblings Carol Anderson, Janet Robinson, Patricia Albaugh, John, Bob, Tom and Jim (Cindy) Albaugh; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Lucille Albaugh; sister, Mary Jo Loria; and brothers-in-law, Avie Anderson and Robbie Robinson.
