Nagel, Michael Martin
Michael Martin Nagel, 55, of Iowa City, died of cancer Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Family Committal services will be at a later date. Arrangements are with Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service.

Michael was born Oct. 23, 1954, in West Union, Iowa, the son of John and Betty Minihan Nagel. He was a 1973 graduate of Emmetsburg High School and received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Coe College. Michael served in the U.S. Navy from 1978 to 1982.
Michael had been employed in the pathology department at the VA. He was a member of Bicyclists of Iowa City.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Julie Nagel; four brothers, Bob (Esther) Nagel of Pueblo West, Colo., Ron Nagel of Emmetsburg, Jim (Helen) Nagel of Cedar Rapids and Pat (Nancy) Nagel of West Branch; his sister-in-law, Sandy Nagel of Eagan, Minn.; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dave and Thomas.
