Nadine Marie Primley Haley, 89, of Palo and formerly of Victor, passed away on June 27, 2018, at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo.
A graveside service and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 2, at the Smith Funeral Home in Victor and then Victor Memorial Cemetery.
A visitation will be held beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be designated to Nadine Haley Memorial Fund.
Nadine was born on Dec. 28, 1928, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Gale and Eva Burger Wood. She was raised in Cedar Rapids and attended school at McKinley High School.
She was united in marriage with Avon Primley in 1956, at Unionville, Mo. The couple lived in several communities in Iowa County and later settled in Victor. After his death, she was married to her friend, Joseph Haley, on Oct. 18, 1978, and they lived in Palo. She moved to Rose Haven in 2016.
Nadine was a Baptist and a member of the Salvation Army. She enjoyed playing cards (particularly Uno), gardening and canning her produce, going on walks, and camping. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States.
Survivors include four children, Bill (Deanna) Cook of Marengo, Sandy (Ron) Barker of Columbia, Mo., Marilyn Primley of Palo and Gale (Christy) Primley of Cedar Rapids; her brother, Gale (Beverly) Wood of Victor; three grandchildren, Lisa (Bruce) Lantzky, Amber (Lonnie) Friederick and Keeley (Mark) Welsh; 13 great-grandchildren; and one stepgrandchild, Johnnette Kruse. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two children, Carol Wellman and Dennis Primley; one granddaughter, Mindy Barker; and one stepgrandson, Jeff Wade.
