Myron Snyder, 21, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brosh Chapel & The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Myron was born May 21, 2002, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Alicia Rogers and Myron Snyder. He graduated from Washington High School in 2020. After graduation Myron continued working at the Boys And Girls club, which he had been a part of since the age of 6. While working there since the age of 14, his accomplishments include the Sports Recreation and Fitness program. Myron was a determined, dedicated, and such a well-rounded, respectful young man who had so many dreams and goals left on his list. A smile that would just light up any room on the darkest days.
Myron is survived by his mother Alicia, father Myron, siblings Mikhel, JaeCis, Javion, Mekhi and Ashanta.
Also, grandmother Vornada Snyder, grandfather David Phelps, along with numerous aunts, uncles and other family members; godmother Esoterica Jones of Georgia; and a longtime mentor, Lorinda Ampey.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Linda Rogers and Mary Phelps; and great-grandparents Lawyer and Lula Rogers, Rose Mere, and Lovie Walton.
