Murray, Dorothy A.
Dorothy A. Murray, 92, of Sunset Park Place, Dubuque, formerly of Epworth, died Saturday, June 18, 2011, at 10:59 p.m. at Luther Manor in Dubuque. Friends and relatives of Dorothy may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Reiff Funeral Home in Epworth, where a wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Services for Dorothy will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Epworth. Burial will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Epworth.
She is survived by five sons, Robert (Beverly) Murray of Omaha, Neb., Daniel (Elizabeth) Murray of Chicago, Raphael (Jane) Murray of Nevada, Richard (Kathy) Murray of Decorah, and William Murray of Cedar Rapids; four daughters, Grace (Robert) Ruden and Sister Corine Murray both of Dubuque, Joyce Callahan of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Mary Elizabeth (Mark) Cook of Chicago; 27 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Emmett (Dorothy) McDermott of Bernard, and Charles (Irene) McDermott of Dubuque, and three sisters, Bernice Faley and Marguerite Sweeney, both of Dubuque, and Patricia (Joe) Larkin of Bernard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent P. Murray on Oct. 29, 1996; one son, John in infancy; her parents; three brothers; and one sister.
A Dorothy A. Murray memorial fund has been established, in lieu of flowers.
