Mulford, Ida Iola
Ida Iola Mulford, 99, of Hopkinton, formerly of Janesville, died Monday morning, July 5,2010. at the Regional Hospital, Manchester. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello. The Rev. Paul Finger will officiate at the services.

Surviving is a granddaughter, Julie Squires of Janesville; three great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and six nieces, Jeryl Bacon of Hopkinton, Lorna Davis, Janis Toenjes and Junelle Benter, all of Monticello, Lyda DeShaw of Anamosa, and LaVerle Kyarsgaard, Sterling, Ill.; and a nephew, John Reid Jr. of San Antonio, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Lyman (Skip) Mulford on Nov. 13, 2002; two brothers, Leo and Earl Lehmann; and a sister, Laura Hinrichs.
Ida Iola Mulford was born Dec. 12, 1910, at Monticello, Iowa. She was the daughter of Fred and Rena Arnold Lehmann. She received her education in the rural schools of Richland Township. Ida then worked at the Schaffer Sweet Shop in Monticello. Ida Lehmann and Lyman F. Mulford were married on Feb. 7, 1934. The couple lived in Waverly and later Cedar Falls. They retired and moved to Janesville in May 1966. Lyman preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 1970. Ida was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Monticello.
