Muldoon, Robert 'Bob'

Robert “Bob” Muldoon, 70, of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully Saturday evening, Oct. 29, 2011, at his home with many family members and friends at his side. A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at Hope Lutheran Church, 2736 Bowling St. SW, Cedar Rapids. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Bob was born Sept. 20, 1941, in Ottumwa, Iowa. He was the son of Leo and Loretta Ann Muldoon. Bob was a longtime resident of Cedar Rapids, where he met and later married his wife of 49 years, Sandy, on  Aug. 11, 1962. He was a dedicated worker at Courtesy Enterprises Inc. (CEI) for 32 years. Bob was an accomplished singer/songwriter. He was also a very giving and caring person to all of his family and friends. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, playing guitar and gambling.

Bob is survived by his wife, Sandy; son, Dale (Laurie) Muldoon of Coggon; daughter, Shannon (Jeff) Gardemann of Shellsburg; siblings, Gary, Marsha, Gloria (John) and Donna (Jim); nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by a dear and special friend, Jeannie Fagen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jerry and Diana; and nephew, Timothy Joseph.

Bob's family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to Bobby's sister, Donna and niece, Lori, for the wonderful care they gave him. Also to Carol and Jerry White and Shauna and Willie NcNeese for all their help. A special thank you to Dr. Maria Doce and her nurse, Becky for their caring and support.
