Muench, Maurice A.
Maurice A. Muench, 90, of Belle Plaine, formerly of Luzerne, died Monday, June 20, 2011, at the Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton following a short illness. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 24, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Luzerne, by the Rev. Michael Musick. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Luzerne, and after 9 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are with the Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine.
Survivors include sons, Gary (Cindy) Muench of Worms, Neb., Gerald (Linda) Muench of Luzerne, David (Mary) Muench of St. Louis, Mo., Mark (Jan) Muench of Davenport, Randall (Robin) Muench of Duluth, Minn., Rod (Joni) Muench of Omaha, Neb., Jim (Sue) Muench of Cedar Rapids, Paul (Kirsten) Muench of Salt Lake City, Utah, Jon (Terri) Muench of Seattle, Wash, and Tom (Tara) Muench of Fort Myers, Fla.; daughter, Marilee (Russ) Gunderson of Belle Plaine; also by 30 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents,; his wife of over sixty years, Dorothy; great-granddaughter, Lola Grace; two brothers; and one sister. A memorial fund has been established.
