Mrazek, Teresa
CEDAR RAPIDS - Teresa E. Mrazek, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Sept. 18, 2010, at her residence at Garnett Place Retirement Community. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call at the chapel after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Private family burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are her son, Alan Mrazek and wife Jill of Ely; stepson, Gary Mrazek and wife Bernie of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Tom, Chris, Samantha and Tony; and a brother, Robert Fisher and wife Rayma of Edgewood.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tony; a brother, Chuck Fisher; and a sister, Irene Delahunt.
Teresa Ellen Mrazek was born July 15, 1924, in Edgewood, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Bess (Michael) Fisher. She was united in marriage to Anton “Tony” Mrazek on Aug. 23, 1948. at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She was employed previously at Collins Radio and for the majority of her career, before retirement, she and husband Tony were the owner and operators of the Marion Motel. Tony preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 1994.
Teresa enjoyed craft work, activities at the Witwer Senior Center, her friends at Garnett Place and above all, time spent with family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Teresa's honor.
