Moyer, Daniel L.
Daniel L. Moyer, 71, of Alburnett, died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City. Family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial: Mount Clark Cemetery, Central City.
Survivors include his wife, Grace; children, Kelly (Shannon) Moyer of Marion, Craig (Jody) Moyer of Onslow, and Diana Moyer of Central City; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and siblings, Doris Herrington of Lampe, Mo., Melvin (Marilyn) Moyer of Central City, Brenda (Ken) Moyer Bauch of Hampton, Minn., and Mike (Deb) Moyer of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant son, Larry.
Daniel was born Dec. 12, 1938, in rural Viola, the son of Franklin and Josephine (Barnes) Moyer. On July 17, 1960, he was united in marriage to Grace Nelson at Prairie Chapel Church. Daniel was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed farming, carpentry, traveling and spending time with his family.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Daniel's memory.
