Morrow, Marian 'Tommie'
Marian “Tommie” Morrow, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Mark Osterhaus. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. today at St. Matthew Catholic Church Kearn Hall, with a vigil service at 5:30 p.m. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Nancy Mann of Des Moines, John (Jodi) Morrow of Marion and James Morrow of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Phillip and Mary Kathleen; and a brother, James (Peggy) Bacher of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Kathleen; a grandson, Bradley; and three siblings, Herbert Bacher, Marguerite Turner and Ellen Barnett.
Tommie was born Feb. 13, 1917, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Herbert and Hazel (Haden) Bacher. She married Clark T. Morrow on April 25, 1941. He died in 1997. She was a loving mother and grandmother who lived all of her adult life in Cedar Rapids and was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Parish.
