Morris, Jane P. (Margretz)
Jane P. (Margretz) Morris, 77, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Toddville, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital. Memorial services: 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Toddville Free Methodist Church, where visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m until service time. The Rev. Mark F. Lofquist will officiate. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, John C. Morris; three sisters, Wilma I. (George) Kibler of Cedar Rapids, Wanda D. Cook of Cedar Rapids and Norma J. Taylor of Minnesota; a brother, Vinton J. (Tamae) Margretz of Hiawatha; a sister-in- law, Betty M. Holsinger of Toddville; and three brothers-in-law, Nelson J. Morris of Pearland, Texas, Allen D. (Janet) Morris of Central City and Kenneth J. (Linda) Morris of Hiawatha. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Joan G. Tank; a brother, Paul G. Margretz; brothers-in-law, Bob Cook, Robert Holsinger and Lyle Morris; and a sister-in-law, Terry Morris.
Jane was born Sept. 12, 1932, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn and Pauline Craft Margretz. She married John C. Morris on July 19, 1953, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Jane was a member of the Toddville Free Methodist Church. Jane's love and interests in her nieces and nephews was endless. She was the family historian and an avid sports fan.
