Morgan McDermott, 18, died peacefully at her home with her parents by her side on Tuesday morning, Nov. 8, 2022.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monticello. Interment will be in the Castle Grove Cemetery, rural Monticello, at a later date. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the MPS Society, Make a Wish Foundation or Camp Courageous. Masks are required for attending the service or the visitation.
Surviving are her parents, Jill and Mike McDermott; her brother, Blake; grandparents, Leo and Janet Cook, Linus and Shirley McDermott; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her cousin, Ryder.
