Moore, Keven Klark

Keven Klark Moore, 63, of Apple Valley, Calif., formerly of Waukon, passed away Oct. 25, 2013, following a sudden illness. Services will be 11 a.m. Nov. 29, with visitation starting at 10 a.m., at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids.

Keven was born Oct. 14, 1950, in Waukon, Iowa, to Raymond and Helen Moore. Keven and his brothers spent from 1963 to 1966 as residents of the Annie Wittenmeyer Orphanage in Davenport. Then in 1974, Keven enlisted in the Air Force and served in southern California, where he spent 20 years employed by the federal government.

Keven's hobbies included ecology, watching the fall harvest and the conservation of plants. He spent many days and weeks hiking and camping. Keven was a member of many hiking clubs as well as the Sierra Club.

Keven is survived by his older sister, Audrey Moore of Des Moines; and two brothers, Steve and Daniel Moore, both of Omaha.

Keven was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Noreen Wampler-McCubbin, formerly of Omaha.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a local Sierra Club in his name.
