Moore, Fern Alta
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Otto Wiedersberg Jr. of Cedar Rapids; and a sister, Dorothy Bell of Arvada, Colo.
Fern was born Feb. 10, 1930, in Kenosha, Wis., the daughter of Otto and Hilda (Goyke) Wiedersberg Sr. She married Clifford C. Moore on July 18, 1950, in Cedar Rapids. Fern worked at J.C. Penney and retired from there after more than 25 years of service.
She enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens, clocks, canning, sewing, cooking, and swimming at Bender Pool with her friends. Fern was a homemaker who enjoyed and loved her family very much. She was a very talented artist who enjoyed drawing. She was a great lover of nature, including feeding birds and caring for her many pets.
Fern was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations may be given to the Mercy Dialysis Unit on Council Street NE.
