Mooney, Carole Ann

Carole Ann Mooney, 77, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nev. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Tom; two sons, Tim (Lisa) Mooney and Sean Mooney, both of Marion; four grandsons, Spencer, Bryce, Mike and Austin Mooney; two brothers, Robert Connor of Minneapolis and Jim (Micki) Connor of Waukon; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Carole was born Aug. 19, 1935, the daughter of Miles and Virginia (Peyton) Connor in Toma, Wis. She graduated from Lansing Immaculate Conception High School. On Aug. 22, 1957, Carole married Tom Mooney in Lansing. She worked at Cryovac as a line operator for over 30 years, retiring in 1999.

Carole was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She will be remembered for her generous and giving nature, and as a loving wife, mother, and “Nana.”

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Carole's memory.
