Burial will be at Mound Cemetery, Watkins. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
Barbara is survived by a daughter, Linda Fortner and Linda's son, Jamie, of Cedar Rapids; a son, Gary (Beverly) and their daughters, Sara, Katie and Gina; and three grandsons, all of Cedar Rapids.
She is also survived by a sister, Bonnie (Mervin) Morris of Marion; and a grandson, Justin Montague of Central City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; two sons, Larry and Ronnie; her mother, Mary Enburg Collins of Cedar Rapids; and father, Raymond Enburg of Burlington.
Barbara was born Sept. 10, 1933, in Burlington. She married Frank O. Montague on Jan. 16, 1953, in Cedar Rapids. He died June 7, 2008. Barbara worked hard throughout her life, as did her husband Frank. She was employed as a clerk at May's Drugstore and also as a bookkeeper there and later at Revco and several other places.
Barbara's family would like to express their gratitude to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy for the wonderful care she received during the last year of her life. Special thanks go to Lisa Fortune, Cindy Stoddard, Amanda Dray and Chaplain Christine Wagner-Hecht. There were two very special girls, Lacey and Bette, who Barbara just adored. Her face always lit up when she saw them. Last, but not least, Barbara's friends, Jeanette Ernst and Jill Peterson.
The family requests no flowers; memorial contributions may be given to Camp Courageous of Iowa.
