Monroe, Darlene F.
Darlene F. Monroe, 85, of Traer, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at her daughter's home in North Liberty. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at Christ United Methodist Church in Belle Plaine, with the Rev. Steve Hubbell presiding. Inurnment will follow immediately at Ridgewood Cemetery in North Liberty. Visitation will be after the service on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Becky and Mike's home in North Liberty, where many of Darlene's quilts will be on display.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Murray, now of North Liberty; her daughter, Becky (Mike Palmer) of North Liberty; her favorite granddog, Misty; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Pecenka of Traer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
