Mona Kay Beadle, 72, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Tipton, Iowa, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, at Harmony Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Mona was born July 2, 1952, in Tipton, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Clara (Kingsbury) Reed. She graduated from Tipton Community High School and Hamilton College. She was united in marriage to Randall Beadle on August 28, 2013, in Marion, Iowa. She worked for United Fire & Casualty and retired in 2015. Mona was an auxiliary member of VFW Post 2357 in Tipton. She enjoyed watching TV, especially when football was on. Mona cheered for Iowa, Iowa State, the Chiefs, and the Packers. She had the greenest thumb. Mona particularly enjoyed the iris and the daisy. She loved fishing, family time, flowers, cardinals, gambling, and ice-cold beer. Mona had the best sense of humor. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Randy Beadle; son, Danny Reed; stepsons, Adam, Brian, Kyle and Blake Beadle (Josh Ridley); three grandchildren; and siblings, Bonnie Swick, Delores Spain, Tom Reed, Robin Ford, and Kathy Silbey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Phil Malone; and sister, Nancy Williams.
