Moger, Toby Allen
Toby Allen Moger, 44, of Bronson, Mich., went to see his Saviour Tuesday afternoon, March 19, 2013, after a 3-year battle with Hodgkin lymphoma. Toby was raised in Marion, where he went to Grace Baptist Academy. The celebration of his life will be at Calvary Baptist Church in Quincy, Mich., at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson. Burial will be at a cemetery near his home.
Toby was born Feb. 12, 1969, in Linn County, the son of Deanna and George Moger. Early in his life he accepted Christ as his Saviour and walked with Him his whole life. Toby has three sisters, Tami and twins Melissa and Michelle, all married with families in this area. Toby married Laura Greenwood on April 23, 1994, and they adopted five children, Brittany, Natalie, Megan, Micah and Brandon. Four of the younger children are still at home. Toby at his still young age became a grandfather when his older adopted girl gave birth recently. Toby also had many nieces and nephews.
Toby was preceded in death by his mother, Deanna, also from cancer at the same age as he; and his grandparents, Floyd and Maxine Ballard and Katherine Moger.
Toby was first employed in Coldwater, Mich., at a metal recycling plant where he was hurt very badly in an industrial accident and almost died. After a miracle recovery he took up driving an over-the-road truck to the East coast and back weekly until three years ago when he was stricken with Hodgkin lymphoma.
Toby was a wonderful caring and loving Christian son, husband, father, brother and grandfather of the quality not often found in this world.
A general memorial fund has been established.
