Moffitt, Yvette
Yvette Moffitt, 60, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospitals in Cedar Rapids. Per Yvette's wishes, her body has been cremated. Yvette wished for a private family service to be held at a later date to celebrate her life.
Survivors include her husband, Terry, of Cedar Rapids; son, Kurtis Moffitt, of Bloomfield, Ind.; daughter, Korinna Kimbrough, of Fate, Texas; mother, Leila Jones Cooper, of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; Taylor, Spencer, Kayla, Kendall, Isaac, and Ethan; one sister, Clare Taylor, of Shoreline, Wash., three brothers; Lindsay Jones, of Ponca City, Okla., Courtnay Jones, of Jamestown, Va., Carrington Jones, of Colorado Springs, Colo.
Yvette was preceded in death by her father John L. Jones.
Yvette Pauline Jones was born May 7, 1949 in Trieste, Italy to John and Leila Jones. She married Terry Moffitt on July 10, 1971 in San Antonio, Texas. She was most importantly a Grandma.
She enjoyed crochet, knitting, reading, writing, traveling (especially Italy), bible study fellowship, and her grandchildren. She was a member of the Marion Antioch Christian Church.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
