Moeller, Eleanor
Eleanor Moeller, 90, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, in Colonial Manor Care Center, Amana. Services: 2 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, where friends may call from noon until service time. The Rev. Jonathan Offt from Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Robert Moeller (Erna) of Lone Tree, Carolyn Herberger of Cedar Rapids and Donald Moeller of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Jeff Moeller (Christal) of Atkins and Jason Moeller (Karrie) of Pella; her great-grandchildren, Cassie and Aiden Moeller of Atkins and Allie, Leah and Katelyn Moeller, all of Pella; and her siblings, Edna Stien of Newhall and Milford Risdal (Pat) of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Da and Lena Risdal; her husband, Fred Moeller; her son-in-law, Merle Herberger; a great-grandson, Conner Moeller; eight brothers and three sisters.
Eleanor was born Dec. 22, 1918, in rural Norway, the daughter of Daniel and Lena Dyrland Risdal. She married Fred C. Moeller on Dec. 22, 1942. Eleanor was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and caring for her family.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
