Minkel, Morris E.
Morris E. Minkel, 88, of Seattle, Wash., formerly of Dysart, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Park West Care Center in Seattle. A visitation will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Morris Edward Minkel was born on May 4, 1924, to Morris and Erma Cox Minkel in Traer, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Alta Siemens on Oct. 5, 1945. in San Diego, Calif.
He is survived by his son, Ronald (Linda) Minkel of Seattle; daughter, Bonnie (Dave) Phillips of Campton Hills, Ill.; grandchildren, Jacob Minkel and Alicia (Danny) Kalan, both of Seattle, Heather (Jared) Summers of Anna, Texas, and Ashley Dandridge of Campton Hills; and great-grandchildren, Isiah, Mathias, Jeremiah and Haddie.
Morris is preceded in death by his wife, Alta and parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Dysart and Traer Fire Departments or Cedar Valley Hospice in Waterloo.
