Miner, Mellissa 'Missy' (Noel)
CORALVILLE - Mellissa “Missy” (Noel) Miner, 30, of Coralville, died at her home on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City, with the Rev. Ed Fitzpatrick officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Missy was born Nov. 28, 1979, in Iowa City, the daughter of Randy and Deb (Sedivec) Noel. She was a 1998 graduate of City High School, and had attended La James and Kirkwood Community College. On Oct. 11, 2008, Missy married Nick Miner in Iowa City.
Missy most recently was employed by the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and before that had worked for several years at MCI.
Missy was a gifted cook and enjoyed baking. She was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins.
She was a loving wife, daughter, sister and granddaughter. Missy will be greatly missed.
Missy is survived by her loving husband, Nick; her parents, Randy and Deb of Iowa City; her sister, Heather (Jeremy) Kuenster of Kalona; her brother, Randy Noel of Iowa City; grandparents, Alice “Peggy” Sedivec of Sims, Mont., and Ed Sedivec of Iowa City; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike (Becky) Macken, Molly (Mark) Williamson and Martha (Brian) Elliott; mother- and father-in-law, Robert and Carole Miner, and her grandmother-in-law, Bette Fenske, all of Rochester, Minn.; and her beloved dog, Zoe.
Missy was preceded in death by her grandfather, Keith Noel; and great-grandmother, Juanita Noel.
