Milvoy E. Dvorak, 89, of Chelsea, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at Compass Memorial Healthcare, Marengo, under the care of Essence of Life Hospice.
Memorial services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine, with Deacon Joe Behounek officiating. Burial will take place at Stayskal Cemetery, Chelsea. Milvoy was born June 29, 1928, to Emil and Alice (Kos) Dvorak in rural Chelsea. He attended country school #8 near Chelsea until eighth grade, when he stayed home to work the farm. Milvoy worked various jobs, with farming being his main occupation, working hard from dawn till dusk. On Dec. 4, 1948, he married Libbie Vesely at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
Milvoy enjoyed gardening, dancing and the casino, and his greatest joy was his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Libbie Dvorak of Chelsea; children, Linda (Steve) Titcomb of Toledo, Karen (Alan) Landuyt of Tama, Jerry (Sue) Dvorak, Donna Dvorak, and Kevin (Lori) Dvorak, all of Chelsea; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Leonard Dvorak of Toledo; and many more loving family and friends.
Milvoy is preceded in death by his parents.
