Milton L. Ross, 93, of Anamosa, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, at Pinicon Place in Anamosa.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, at Wilcox Cemetery, Viola.
The Rev. Rodney Bluml will officiate and military honors will be accorded by the Anamosa Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa.
Milton La Verne Ross was born on Dec. 10, 1924, in Central City, Iowa, the son of Walter Glenn and Mildred (Bickel) Ross. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Milton was a lifelong farmer who liked to saw wood in his own sawmill and cook pancakes on his wood stove. He enjoyed life, walking through his woods and visiting with family and friends.
He is survived by sisters, Esther (Dick) Stick, Marion, and Edna Moehl, Anamosa; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend and neighbor, Annette Caffery.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Everett; and a brother-in-law.
