Milo L. Rehak, 101, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Prairie Hills Senior Center. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday at St. Jude Catholic Church by Rev. Nick March. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at Teahen Funeral Home, and after 9 a.m., Thursday at the church.
Milo will be missed by his three children, Patty (Doug) Thompson of Glenwood, Doug Rehak of Omaha, NE, and Mary (Jim) Loan of Iowa City; five grandchildren, Brian (Jess), Tiffany, Melissa (Sam), Hannah (Codie), and Alena; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; two brothers; two sisters; grandson, Nathan; and great-grandson, Davis.
Milo was born on February 25, 1924 in Ely, to Joseph and Mary Rehak. On May 14, 1949, he married Virginia Britt at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Milo served in the Pacific Theater during WWII, was discharged, and then worked for Universal Engineering for 45 years, retiring in June 1987.
Milo enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, playing golf, and playing cards.
