Milo J. Cerveny Jr., 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, March 16, 2018, at Heritage Nursing and Rehab. There will be a private graveside service at a later date. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean; and a brother, James (Janice) of Swisher. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Vernon; and a sister, Maxine.
Milo was born on Sept. 18, 1931, on a farm near Fairfax, the son of Milo and Mildred Cole Cerveny Sr. He married Barbara Jean Hanus on Aug. 3, 1974, in Cedar Rapids. He was a former member of American Legion Post 572 in Fairfax, and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Milo farmed near the Eastern Iowa Airport for many years. He forever will be remembered as a wonderful husband, son, brother and friend.
