Miller, Parker
Parker Miller died Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at his home at the age of 24 years. Celebration of Life service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Pastor Carl Cloeter will officiate. Burial will be at Champion Hill Cemetery, rural North English. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg.
Parker was born Oct. 15, 1986, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Bradley and Monica (Arp) Miller. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 2005 and Kirkwood Community College in 2007, with a degree in automotive restoration. Parker had a variety of jobs; the most recent was working for IAC in Iowa City.
Parker enjoyed restoring classic cars, deer hunting and the outdoors.
He is survived by his parents, Brad and Monica of rural North English; his sister, Chelsea of Hattiesburg, Miss.; grandparents, Richard and Beverly Miller of North English and Newell and Arlene Arp of Williamsburg; uncles and aunts, Phil and Holly Osweiler, Terry and Bev Arp and Tom and Julie Spratt, all of Williamsburg, Joe and Tammy Rohret of Parnell and Jeff and Brenda Taylor of Springville; and 20 cousins.
A general memorial has been established.
